Lendlease is a multinational integrated real estate business, with investment, development and construction arms. In the UK, we work closely with Lendlease to help improve workforce management and insight, which is particularly impactful when it comes to improving social value. Social value is taken very seriously by Lendlease. At Lendlease<\/a>, social impact is embedded throughout business operations \u2013 the business having objectives to create $250m of social value by 2025, and also aiming to deliver social value across all projects and assets. Achieving this requires the business to consider all of the opportunities to deliver social value to communities, from taking ethical procurement decisions through to reducing modern slavery risks and increasing valuable local employment opportunities and supporting local businesses.<\/p>

With the many targets Lendlease sets itself, as well as requirements set by clients, access to comprehensive, accurate and reliable workforce data is critical. This is where our sustainability module proves its value by unlocking powerful social value reporting, made possible through a combination of pre-site and on-site solutions which are used to capture accurate data.<\/p>

The workforce data we help Lendlease capture is able to paint a true picture of what is happening on its construction sites and easily identifies where trends exist.<\/p>

Now, the entire social value team at Lendlease benefits from a custom dashboard that provides the exact data needed, when it\u2019s needed \u2013 proving the platform\u2019s accessibility. Lendlease averages 15% local labour year on year in the UK, which is above the industry average of 9% - and this is monitored and validated by our technology. Examples of other important data we can produce, used to build influential reports, includes demographics, apprenticeships and living wage employer confirmation.<\/p>

As well as helping Lendlease to independently improve its own social value efforts, the data can be used to inform clients during the project bid process \u2013 ensuring greater transparency in the construction industry.<\/p>

Lendlease is using the data to decide its own future, not just to reflect on the past. It is hoped that we can use our technology to help with raising awareness of disability inclusion, as well as gender inclusion, which are just two of many ongoing challenges in the construction sector.<\/p>
